During my first year of marriage, I knew NOTHING about the basics of cooking and the tools of the trade needed. I've started this blog as a fun project to practice my photography, video and of course, cooking which I've become addicted to. It's my new passion. And, I hope I can provide some useful, "starter" information along with some suggestions on useful cooking products, other blogs and vendors who keep the culinary and entertaining spirit alive and thriving.
Why recreate the wheel? If you are just starting out, you will need the basics-which will vary depending on what you already have, your budget and how often you plan on cooking and entertaining. Take some straight up advice from a recent bride who just went through this. I'll keep adding to this list sooooo, consider it a work in progress. I'll highlight items I've found most useful in preparing for meals. Again, you will have to individualize this to your needs. Do YOU have any additions? Please comment in the boxes below.
Extras such as waffle makers can be added down the line if you are in dire need of the basics and don't have a large guest list for your bridal shower. Make sure to put in some low, medium to high cost items for your guests to chose from keeping their budget in regard.
